Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashkin visits Turkey, an event considered 'historic' by Yerevan, the first time an Armenian leader has visited Turkey at this level. The visit comes at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and is aimed at discussing the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Relations between Armenia and Turkey are strained and the common border has been closed since the 90s. Pushinian and Erdogan will also discuss the regional implications of the Israel-Iran conflict.
