The Armenian government has approved a draft law to kick-start the EU accession process.

The draft law was approved by the Armenian government, setting out Armenia's declaration of intent to become a member of the European Union. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian stressed that the final decision on EU membership will be taken in a national referendum. This comes as Armenia is already a member of other Russian-led structures.
