A man was sentenced to prison after he attempted to rob the home of actress Anya Taylor-Joy.

Kirk Holdrick, 43 years old, was sentenced to prison for the attempted armed robbery at the home of actress Anya Taylor-Joy, where she was with her husband, Malcolm McRae. The incident occurred on February 12, 2023, when the two heard the window break and McRae managed to defend himself with a lamp, causing the robbers to flee.

Holdrick, a repeat offender, had already been sentenced to 12 years in prison for another home invasion in Dorset, where a mother and her daughter were threatened with violence. After his arrest on April 18, 2023, Holdrick pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced to an additional three years. In addition, he was involved in another home invasion, where he threatened a family with a weapon. He has been held for multiple offenses, including armed robberies, and was previously sentenced to life in prison.
