Since August 18, kindergartens in Russia have initiated anti-terrorist exercises, which include simulations of armed attacks and hostage situations. Images distributed by educational institutions show children lying face down on the floor, and in some cases, armed individuals pointing weapons at them, according to the publication 'Novaia Gazeta'.
The exercises, which will last two days, involved over 100 kindergartens from various regions of the country, which announced their participation on social media. During the simulations, children were instructed to bend down or lie down, and in some kindergartens, hostage situations were simulated, while in others, doors were barricaded. The simulated scenarios included armed attacks with flammable liquids. 'Novaia Gazeta' mentions that such exercises are not new, having also taken place in the spring of 2025.
