American negotiators met on Saturday in Florida with Russian officials for discussions aimed at contributing to achieving peace in Ukraine, following the summit of European leaders that took place on Friday.

Kirill Dmitriev, the special envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin, stated that the discussions were constructive and will continue on Sunday. American Secretary of State Marco Rubio mentioned that he might participate in these discussions. Meanwhile, European Union leaders agreed to provide Ukraine with a loan of 90 billion euros to support the war effort. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his support for tripartite discussions with Washington and Moscow, if they would facilitate the exchange of prisoners and pave the way for a meeting between the leaders of the two countries.
