At the summit in Alaska, Putin reportedly discussed with Trump ceding territory in Ukraine, including Donetsk and Luhansk, in exchange for a withdrawal of Russian troops from other regions. Although sources in the Ukrainian administration suggest that the US would have accepted the proposal, President Zelenski has categorically rejected the idea of ceding territories, saying Ukraine will not accept such concessions. He emphasized that the solutions to the conflict lie in Ukraine's constitution and warned that any decision without Ukraine's involvement will not bring peace.
