Several countries in the Persian Gulf reported airstrikes and interceptions in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to messages on local authorities' social media.
The Kuwaiti army announced a "wave of hostile drones" targeting fuel depots at Kuwait International Airport. Saudi Arabia intercepted at least 21 drones during the same hour. In Bahrain, the Ministry of Interior attributed a fire at the Mina Salman port to "Iranian aggression."
These attacks occurred after Iranian President, Mesoud Pezeshkian, apologized for previous attacks on American bases, stating that Iran would cease attacks on its neighbors if not provoked. Subsequently, his office clarified that Iran would not attack if the countries in the region do not collaborate with the U.S. against it.
