The aerospace group Airbus, present in Romania through its helicopter, aerostructures, and defense divisions, recorded a record net profit of 5.2 billion euros in 2025, an increase of approximately 23% compared to the previous year, due to high demand for commercial aircraft and activities in the defense sector.

Sales reached 73.4 billion euros, a 6% increase compared to 2024, while defense revenues grew by 15%, reaching 14.2 billion euros. In 2025, Airbus delivered 793 commercial aircraft, a 4% increase compared to 2024, but below the level of 2019. CEO Guillaume Faury emphasized that the results were achieved in a complex operational environment. Additionally, Airbus aims to deliver 870 commercial aircraft in 2026, surpassing the previous record from 2019. Compared to Boeing, Airbus remains at an advantage, although the American competitor had a profitable year for the first time in seven years.
