Minister of Digitalization Bogdan Ivan announces that the national health card system will be completely overhauled. The card will also be available in electronic format.

Ivan said that the current health card system was developed 16 years ago and can no longer cope with today's requirements. The redesign of the card will also allow it to be used electronically, like a bank card. The health card has created difficulties for doctors, who have encountered problems in issuing prescriptions or referrals to specialists.
