Although the virus has high transmissibility, it does not cause more severe forms of illness. The National Institute of Public Health reported a rapid increase in flu cases, appearing earlier than in previous seasons. Odette Popovici explained that the population has low immunity to this strain, which may lead to a higher number of illnesses. Among the characteristic symptoms are the sudden onset of fever, muscle and joint pain, dry cough, followed later by productive cough. The specialist emphasizes the importance of vaccination and preventive measures in the context of the circulation of this flu virus.
