As of this week, patients can make appointments for free PET-CT examinations at the Infectious Diseases Hospital 'Dr. Victor Babes' Timisoara, after signing a contract with the County Health Insurance House. These investigations, essential in the diagnosis and monitoring of oncologic diseases, were previously available only to hospitalized patients. Now, a significant increase in requests is expected as the hospital is the first public facility in Banat to offer these services free of charge. Patients must present specific documents to benefit from the investigation.
