This material monitors the most impactful themes surrounding the parties AUR, PNL, PSD, UDMR, and USR. An evaluation conducted through the NewsVibe platform, which integrates artificial intelligence technologies for analyzing content from the media and social networks, indicated the publication of 7,974 materials about the 5 parties during this period, from relevant web sources, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok in Romania. Political topics in the last week

The debate on the state budget for 2026 generated significant tensions, especially in the Budget Committee. PSD was involved in disputes related to amendments, including those regarding aid for pensioners and the exemption of farmers from paying excise and VAT on diesel. Adrian Câciu was involved in a tense incident in the committee, and PSD accused PNL and USR of "stealing" from pensioners and children. These events reflect a negative sentiment in the general online environment regarding the budgetary process and political disputes.

PSD: The party had multiple discussions within the National Permanent Bureau regarding a possible exit from the government, especially after the adoption of the budget for 2026. Sorin Grindeanu announced internal consultations, excluding an alliance with AUR or support for a minority government. Locally, in Constanța, PSD reorganized its municipal leadership, where Cristina Dumitrache became the first vice-president, consolidating her position in view of the 2028 elections. At the same time, former PSD baron Nicușor Constantinescu benefits from a temporary suspension of the execution of his 10-year prison sentence, decided by the Bucharest Court of Appeal on medical grounds, an episode that brings back into focus the criticisms related to the party's old networks of influence.

AUR: The proposal of former PNL senator Viorel Cataramă regarding a PNL-AUR government as a solution for Romania generated extensive discussions, indicating possible political realignments and a negative sentiment in the online environment towards the current coalition.

PNL: The party, through the mayor Florin Birta from Oradea, accused PSD and AUR of blocking funding for the stadium in Oradea, describing the action as a "political execution" against Ilie Bolojan. PNL, through the National Political Bureau, adopted a resolution supporting the Government of Ilie Bolojan and warning PSD that if it provokes a governmental crisis, PNL will no longer be able to be part of the coalition. These discussions indicate a predominantly negative sentiment in the online space regarding the stability of the current coalition.

UDMR: The party, through deputy Miklós Zoltán, expressed satisfaction regarding the adoption of the budget but criticized the special status of Bucharest and the inequities regarding contributions to the solidarity fund, stating that "the Capital has a country and not the other way around." This point reflects a mixed sentiment, with satisfaction for the adoption of the budget but also grievances regarding the distribution of resources.

USR: The party appears, on one hand, in the context of budget disputes, where it is accused alongside PNL of harming pensioners and children by rejecting amendments supported by PSD, against the backdrop of tense episodes in the specialized committees in which PSD deputy Adrian Câciu was also involved. On the other hand, the party also appears in the internal decision-making register, as its positioning towards the Government of Ilie Bolojan is to be clarified by the Political Committee of USR, the body that must establish the strategy of the formation in the current coalition crisis.
