Over the past 24 hours, online search trends in Romania reflect the public's interest in a variety of topical subjects, especially in the spheres of sport, politics, current events and public figures.

In sport, one of the most popular topics is the match Poli Iași - UTA Arad, with the highest search interest in the last 24 hours. The match ended in a 1-1 draw in the Romanian Cup, attracting attention with the presence of coaches Emil Săndoi and Mircea Rednic. Another Romanian Cup match that generated searches was Agricola Borcea v Petrolul, which ended 0-3.

In international football, the match between Milan and Napoli was in the spotlight as Napoli defeated AC Milan 2-0 at their home ground in the ninth round of Serie A. Napoli's performance, which continues their winning streak, caught the attention of Romanian fans, confirming the popularity of Italian football in Romania.

In the political sphere, one name that has captured the public's attention is Tal Hanan, amid campaign speculation. Recently, Mircea Geoană was accused of having met with Tal Hanan, apparently a controversial campaign coordinator, an accusation leveled by Elena Lasconi. In addition, Geoană has recently attacked Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, bringing up his nephew's business dealings with the state.

Another important political topic is the military pensions law, which was recently passed in the Chamber of Deputies. The legislative changes, involving the indexation of pensions and the elimination of some provisions considered problematic, have sparked the interest of citizens, especially those directly affected by this decision.

In international politics, North Korea continues to be a topic of interest for the Romanian public. The current situation in Ukraine and the possible involvement of North Korea alongside Russia have generated intense discussions. South Korea has also announced that it plans to send agents to investigate the presence of North Korean military on the Ukrainian front.

Current events concern the "Rabla for stoves" program. This initiative launched by the Environment Ministry provides funding to replace old stoves with more energy-efficient alternatives. The program is a pilot and aims to increase the sustainability of household consumption.

In addition, they are also looking into Halloween 2024 and the date on which this custom is celebrated. Other highlights include this year's most popular children's costumes and masks.

Public personalities include actress Teri Garr, who passed away at the age of 79.
