In the past 24 hours, the interest of the Romanian public has oscillated between dramatic news about well-known public figures, sports competitions, weather alerts and social debates, complemented by festivals and digital news.

The search interest is dominated by news of the death of Felix Baumgartner, following a paragliding accident. In the same register, Romanians searched for information about the death of singer Connie Francis and the scandal involving US CEO Andy Byron.

The parole of Elena Udrea, definitively decided by the Prahova court, also generated search interest.

On the sporting front, CFR Cluj's 3-0 success in the return leg against Paksi in the Europa League preliminaries has revived talk of the transfer of top scorer Louis Munteanu and the duel with Lugano.

In parallel, there has been scouting interest in Cristian Chivu, with speculation about his move on the transfer market.

In tennis, Jaqueline Cristian advanced to the quarter-finals of the tournament in Iași, a performance that spurred dedicated tennis searches.

The severe weather and weather conditions remained a constant in online searches: the storm that hit the capital under code red, with roofs blown off and one victim in Otopeni, was matched by similar warnings for Constanța. Also generating interest was the incident at the Police Academy, where the storm damaged the building.

In the social area, the protest by vegetable growers in Lungulețu over irrigation drew attention.

Also, the new rules on withholding health contributions from pensions above the 3,000 lei threshold have fueled questions about Romanians' "pensions".

On the entertainment front, the start of Electric Castle drew attention with the arrival of Justin Timberlake and the logistical impact of the Bonțida show, while the fire that engulfed the main stage of Tomorrowland in Belgium raised concerns about festival safety.

In the digital environment, Epic Games' announcement that it is offering the "Civilization 6 Platinum Edition" for free generated hits from Romania.
