In the last 24 hours, the public's interest in Romania has focused on the sharp drop in weather temperatures, on high-stakes matches in domestic and international football, on fiscal and investment issues, but also on geopolitical tensions and episodes of disinformation.

The weather dominates searches due to concerns about the forecast for the coming days, including in Hungarian and Spanish, against the backdrop of a sudden cooling, with rain, sleet, and even snow in some areas.

In domestic football, attention was primarily directed towards Universitatea Craiova – CFR Cluj, a match won by the Oltenians with 2–0, a result that reignited the playoff battle.

International football generated a second strong wave of searches: Napoli defeated AC Milan 1–0, and Juventus overcame Genoa 2–0, results followed also through the lens of Cristi Chivu and the fight for objectives in Serie A. In the same vein, names like Radu Drăgușin, Harry Kane, Vinícius Júnior, Andrei Rațiu, or Giuseppe Marotta came into play.

The fiscal-administrative area attracted searches related to ANAF, tax administration, the white list, identity card, medical leave, state allowance, and ONRC, against the backdrop of concerns about the relationship with the state and finances. In parallel, investment interest was seen around Fidelis and the Bucharest Stock Exchange, following the temporary suspension of some euro-denominated securities on April 6 and ahead of the new estimated offer for the first decade of April.

Abroad, searches were fueled by the escalation of the confrontation between the USA and Iran, the echoes of the war in Ukraine, and the movements from Pyongyang, where Kim Jong-un and North Korea returned to attention against the backdrop of repositioning in relation to the crisis in the Middle East.

A distinct vein was formed by disinformation and viral topics: the false death of Mircea Lucescu circulated online as a pretext for fraud, and authorities dismantled other false information, including some related to recruitment in the MAI structures.
