In the last 24 hours, the public interest in Romania has focused on a mix of football, political crisis, current topics such as the weather and Earth Day, as well as television subjects and air transport.

Domestic football topped the list with the semifinal of the Romanian Cup in Mioveni, where U Cluj dramatically defeated FC Argeș in a penalty shootout.

In international football, searches turned to Inter – Como from the semifinals of the Coppa Italia, a match also followed through the lens of Cristi Chivu. Inter managed to qualify for the final after coming back from 0-2, winning in the end 3-2. Separately, snooker and tennis attracted interest with the start of the World Championship, John Higgins' qualification, and the buzz surrounding Novak Đjokovic ahead of the clay season.

April 22 pushed forward searches about Earth Day, including in the variants Earth Day and Föld Napja, while the weather remained a major topic against the backdrop of forecasts about the significant cooling in Bucharest and the country towards the end of April.

In the political area, attention shifted to the governmental crisis: the scenario of a minority government, Cătălin Predoiu's positions, Victor Ponta's interventions, and the messages conveyed by Emil Boc fueled searches related to the power configuration in Bucharest.

A large volume of searches was also generated by air transport, after the TAROM union accused the Government of intending to close the company and announced protests, which simultaneously raised interest in the airline.

In entertainment, the public followed the elimination from the Chefi la cuțite edition and Michele Morrone's appearance in Bucharest, indicating that television and international stars remained a secondary but visible engine of searches.

Top 5 search topics
