The analysis of yesterday's online search trends in Romania reflects the varied interests of the public, falling into several thematic categories such as sports, politics, public figures and current events.

In the sport category, the major interest was in football, with mentions of Hermannstadt vs U Cluj being the most searched topic. In addition, Premier League matches (Manchester United v Liverpool and Tottenham v Nottingham Forest), Galatasaray v Fenerbahce, along with other Serie A matches (Monza v Napoli) and the Spanish Cup final, won by Athletic Bilbao, were also searched. There was also notable interest in Formula 1, with Max Verstappen emerging victorious in the Japanese Grand Prix.

In politics, the only topic sought after was Peter Pellegrini and his presidential election win in Slovakia. In this context, Klaus Iohannis' congratulatory message to the winner was visible.

Public figures were visible with searches about the deaths of actor Cole Brings Plenty and environmental activist Greta Thunberg, detained at a protest. Locally, Cristina Ciobănașu and her reaction to the marriage of ex-boyfriend Vlad Gherman was visible.

Current events were the raging fire in Bucharest and the mobilization of the authorities. In addition, there was also research on the total solar eclipse on April 8, as well as Ibiza, where residents end up moving into their cars because of high rents. There was also search interest in World Health Day and statements from Minister Rafila.
