At the end of January and the beginning of February, the weather will be extremely cold, with morning temperatures between -13 and -6 degrees in the north and center, while the maximums will vary between -9 and 2 degrees. The frost will affect areas such as Maramureș, Transylvania, and the northern half of Moldova. In the intracarpathian regions, the sky will be mostly cloudy, with snowfalls that will deposit a layer of snow of 2-8 cm, while in the Western Carpathians and the west of the Southern Carpathians, the layer will reach 10-15 cm. In the south and east, the snowfalls will be weak, and in Banat and Oltenia, the snowfall may turn into sleet. The wind will be weak to moderate, with intensifications in the mountainous areas. In Bucharest, the frost will persist, with light snowfalls and temperatures between -8 and -2 degrees. During the period of January 12-19, temperatures will be below average, but between January 19-26, a slight warming will be recorded. At the beginning of February, the weather will be close to normal, with normal precipitation in most regions.
