The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued yellow code nowcasting warnings for dense fog in 19 counties on Friday morning, with visibility reduced to under 200 meters, and in some areas even below 50 meters. The warnings were valid until 08:00 or 09:00, depending on the county. Road traffic was seriously affected, with congestion on the A0, A1, A2, A3, and A7 highways, as well as in the municipality of Bucharest and on several roads in the affected counties. Traffic police recommend that drivers drive cautiously, reduce speed, use appropriate lights, and maintain distance from vehicles ahead. Additionally, pedestrians are advised to cross only at marked places and to be aware of drivers' intentions, considering that dense fog can cause frequent road accidents.
