On Saturday, Teleorman County was hit by extreme weather, with severe meteorological phenomena, during the orange code for storms and hail. A large tornado was filmed in the sky over the locality of Cernetu, where witnesses captured the moment it ominously descended from the storm clouds. The atmospheric instability generated severe weather conditions, and the sky suddenly darkened, causing panic among the residents. Messages posted on social media reflect people's fear, with some comparing the phenomenon to an apocalypse. A tornado is defined as a violent movement of air, in the form of a vertical funnel, descending from a cumulonimbus cloud. The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a nowcasting orange code warning for snow and winds with speeds of up to 120 km/h in four counties, and a warning for rain and storms is in effect for much of the country.
