The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a warning on Thursday for cold weather, precipitation, and intensification of the wind, valid throughout Romania until Saturday morning. During the day on Thursday, the wind will have temporary intensifications in the center, east, and southwest of the country, with speeds of 45-55 km/h, while in the mountains, gusts of over 50-70 km/h will be recorded. Precipitation will be in the form of rain, sleet, and snow, and in the east and southeast of Transylvania, a layer of snow of 3-6 cm will accumulate. At high altitudes in the Southern and Eastern Carpathians, an average accumulation of 5-10 cm of snow is expected. The weather will be particularly cold, with negative minimums in the northern half of the country and local frost. In Bucharest, temperatures will be below normal for this period, according to the special forecast published by ANM.
