<p>Remus Ștefureac, director of INSCOP, said that if the pace of voting continues, the final turnout could reach 65% or even more. By 11am, more than 3.4 million people had voted, an average of 110,000 votes per hour, significantly outnumbering the 1st round. Turnout of over 65% in the second round was recorded in 1992 (73.23% turnout) and 1996 (75.9% turnout), while in the first round, turnout was 53.21%.
