By 10pm on Saturday, 729,631 Romanians in the diaspora had voted in the second round of the 2025 presidential elections, marking a significant increase compared to the first round, when only 393,260 voters had cast their ballots at the same time of the day. Great Britain, Germany and Italy top the ranking of countries with the highest turnout of Romanians abroad, confirming the trend of increased mobilization in large communities. Voting in the diaspora takes place over three days, from Friday to Sunday, and will end on Sunday at 21:00 (Romanian time), at the same time as the polls close in the country.
