In the first five hours after polling stations opened in Romania, 2,998,627 Romanians voted. Of these, 1,702,856 were in urban areas and 1,295,771 in rural areas.

In comparison, in the first five hours of the 2019 presidential elections, in the first round, 2,882,075 voted ( in urban areas there were 1,724.928 votes, and in rural areas there were 1,157,147 ).

In the 2024 presidential elections, in the first round, 2,664,226 Romanians voted in the first round (in urban areas there were 1,490,332 votes, and in rural areas there were 1,173,894 votes.)
