In the first hour after polling stations opened in Romania, 312,569 Romanians voted. Of these, 171,731 were in urban areas and 140,838 in rural areas.



In comparison, in the first hour of the 2019 presidential election, 258,785 voted in the first round ( in urban areas there were 145.431 votes, and in rural areas there were 113,354 votes.

In the presidential elections of November 2024, 227,054 Romanians voted in the first hour (in urban areas there were 121,212 votes, and in rural areas there were 105,842 votes.)
