Over half a million Romanians from the diaspora turned out to vote in the second round of the presidential elections

<p>According to the Permanent Electoral Authority, by Saturday at 18:00, 560,175 Romanian voters in the diaspora had cast their ballots, including 3,139 by mail, totaling 563,314 votes cast. Most votes were cast in the United Kingdom (91,561), Germany (90,044) and Italy (87,075). Voting is open to Romanian citizens living abroad, regardless of domicile. By comparison, in the first round, on May 3 at the same time, 295,608 voters turned out.
