81% of Romanian teachers are satisfied with their working conditions, but only 57% with their salaries, according to the TALIS 2024 report.

The TALIS 2024 study shows that 81% of teachers in Romania are satisfied with their working conditions (excluding salaries), an increase from 74% in 2018. Additionally, 57% are satisfied with their salaries, a significant increase of 34 percentage points. Romanian teachers feel appreciated by students and parents, and 94% state that principals have good relationships with staff. However, 7% experience high stress at work, and 11% of young teachers intend to leave the profession in the next 5 years.
