According to a report by Edupedu.ro based on OECD data from 2022, Romania ranks last in the European Union regarding the student-teacher ratio in primary education, with 18 students per teacher. This situation affects the quality of education, influencing individualized attention and teaching efficiency. The Ministry of Education recently approved measures that could worsen these discrepancies, such as increasing the teaching workload and merging schools.
