CJSU Giurgiu suspended in-person classes on February 18, moving them online due to the warning of heavy snowfall.

During the meeting of the Giurgiu County Committee for Emergency Situations, it was decided to suspend in-person classes in all educational institutions in the county on February 18, with classes to be held online.

The adopted measures include intensifying patrols on roads affected by blizzards to prevent accidents. Dialysis patients and pregnant women will be transported to healthcare facilities to avoid blockages in isolated areas.

Additionally, traffic on the county's roads will be monitored, and water levels will be supervised. The CJSU has established a permanent service at town halls to provide information about weather developments.

These measures are necessary in the context of the warning Orange Code for heavy snowfall, valid from Tuesday evening until Wednesday afternoon, which forecasts snowfall of 20-50 cm and winds with gusts of 60-85 km/h.
