Despite overall growth in vehicle sales in China, deliveries of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles have seen a significant decline. This difficult start to the Chinese car market in 2024 points to stagnant consumer demand, affected by the crisis in the real estate sector and turmoil in the financial markets.
