The Neptun Deep project, managed by OMV Petrom, is progressing according to plan, with the first gas production expected in 2027. The company's CEO, Christina Verchere, announced that four wells have been drilled in the Pelican South field and that the construction of the gas measurement station is in full swing. Additionally, the microtunnel in Tuzla has been completed, and the manufacturing of the production platform is progressing, with components made in Italy and Indonesia.
Cristian Hubati, a member of the OMV Petrom Management Board, confirmed that the project is proceeding according to schedule and budget, with advanced work on the gas treatment station. Furthermore, the company reported a net profit of 3.1 billion lei for the year 2025, down 27% compared to the previous year, due to impairment adjustments related to abandonment obligations and exploration and production assets.
