The executive adopted on Monday the Government Decision initiated by the Ministry of Finance for the continuation of the 'New House' program until 2026, having a guarantee ceiling of 500 million lei. This measure aims to ensure access to financing for the purchase of housing, especially for individuals who have difficulties in meeting standard lending conditions.

The Ministry of Finance emphasizes that the normative act supports access to housing, education, and social protection, responding to the essential needs of the population in the current economic context. The continuation of the program offers predictability to beneficiaries and credit institutions, maintaining an important tool for access to housing.

Since its launch in 2009, the program has granted over 334,000 guarantees, amounting to approximately 31.72 billion lei. In 2025, guarantees of approximately 33 million lei were granted, and the data indicates a positive dynamic in mortgage lending, contributing to the balancing of supply and demand in the real estate market.
