The European Commission has given the green light to the first file of a Chinese car manufacturer, VW Anhui, which assumes minimal prices for electric cars, in order to avoid increased customs tariffs. This decision was the result of discussions between the European Commission and Chinese officials, aiming to replace customs tariffs with a price-based system.

The beneficiary of this exemption is the Volkswagen group, which produces the Cupra Tavascan model in its division in China. This move could significantly influence the European car market, facilitating access for Chinese electric vehicles.
