According to INS data, the volume of construction works recorded a 20% increase in June 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, while during the first six months the advance was 13.9%.

Compared to May 2026, construction increased by 20.1% in raw series and by 4.9% in seasonally adjusted series.

In terms of structural elements, capital repair works increased by 22.5%, new construction works by 21.9%, and maintenance and current repair works by 11.6%.

Regarding construction objects, significant increases were recorded in residential buildings (+43.9%), non-residential buildings (+21.5%), and engineering constructions (+12.7%).

In the first six months, the construction sector had an advance of 13.9%, with increases in new construction works (+16.4%) and residential buildings (+21.1%).

As a seasonally adjusted series, the sector recorded an increase of 11.7%.
