Significant decrease in the trade of vehicles and motorcycles in January

In January 2026, the turnover in the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles recorded a significant decrease compared to the previous month, with 21.4% as a gross series and 2.4% as a seasonally adjusted series. Compared to January 2025, the decrease was 6.7% in gross series and 0.3% in seasonally adjusted series.

Decreases were evident in all segments, including the trade of motor vehicles (-29.4%), motorcycles and accessories (-22.0%) and activities of maintenance and repair of motor vehicles (-12.8%).
