Romania is facing a historic public debt, exceeding one trillion lei, equivalent to 57.2% of GDP. In the last month, the central public administration debt has increased by 6 billion lei, resulting in a debt of 1,016 billion lei, which implies a debt of over 55,000 lei for each Romanian.
