The draft law aims to stabilize public finances by limiting expenditure and increasing revenues, with the objectives of reducing the budget deficit, regaining investor confidence and continuing infrastructure projects. The proposed measures include estimated revenue increases of RON 9.5 billion in 2025 and RON 35 billion in 2026, as well as cuts in budget spending of RON 1.25 billion in 2025 and RON 57.3 billion in 2026. The draft will be subject to parliamentary accountability.
