The payment request 4 from the PNRR will be submitted on December 15, bringing 2.62 billion euros. Additionally, 500 million euros are expected from payment request 3.

The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, announced that payment request 4 from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) will be submitted on December 15, once the decision of the Constitutional Court is finalized. This will include the milestone related to the pollution tax and it is estimated that it will be the fastest payment request in the history of the PNRR, with an inflow of 2.62 billion euros in February. Additionally, from payment request 3, it is expected that at least 500 million euros will be released from the suspended amount of 860 million euros.

Pîslaru emphasized that Romania has a clear plan for the efficient use of European funds, without needing an additional recovery plan. He mentioned that by 2026, investments from the PNRR must be completed, with a total of 10 billion euros to be spent. A systematization of projects has also been carried out, with a public database containing 21,000 projects, to facilitate their monitoring and implementation. Pîslaru stated that, by mobilizing society, the PNRR can be successfully implemented by the deadline.
