Retail trade turnover (excluding motor vehicles) increased by 2.6% in the first five months of 2025, according to NSI data, driven by non-food (+5.9%) and fuel (+2.1%) sales. In May 2025, turnover increased by 0.1% compared to April, but fell by 0.5% seasonally adjusted. Compared with May 2024, there was a 2.5% increase, with non-food sales up (+6.3%), while food sales fell.
