Radu Miruță, Minister of Economy, said that the 30% tariff imposed by the US represents a paradigm shift in transatlantic relations. At the Brussels meeting, he stressed that Romania will play an active role in formulating the European response, defending the country's economic interests. Miruță reaffirmed that constant negotiations with the US are preferable to escalating trade conflicts, stressing the importance of Romania's vote in the EU.
