<p>The Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, announced on Monday the PSD proposal from the solidarity package aimed at protecting vulnerable consumers in the field of energy and natural gas. According to the proposal, consumers with incomes below 2,500 lei will benefit from a monthly bonus of 100 lei for natural gas during the cold season, between October 1 and March 31, in the period 2026-2027. Additionally, for electricity, the support scheme will continue with a reduction of 50 lei on the bill for the same consumers, valid between March 31, 2026, and March 31, 2027. Ivan emphasized that approximately 2.1 million consumption points, and 3.7 million people will be included in this energy support scheme, and regarding natural gas, 1 million consumption points, meaning 1.7 million beneficiaries. The measure is intended to support Romanians with low and medium incomes, affected by the removal of the cap on electricity.
