A 'Save the Children' report shows that Romania has one of the highest child poverty rates in the EU, with 33.8% at risk of poverty. Children from rural areas and those with parents with low education are the most affected. Poverty is worsening, and the number of poor children in Europe has increased by 446,000 between 2019 and 2024. The report highlights the need for integrated policies to combat this issue and ensure quality education for all children.
