Nvidia has published financial results for the fourth quarter, ending in January, exceeding market expectations with record revenues of $215.9 billion. Net profit increased by 94% compared to the previous year, reaching $42.96 billion.
The company forecasts revenues of $78 billion for the current quarter, due to exponential demand for its artificial intelligence (AI) processors.
Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, emphasized that the demand for AI computers will continue to grow, and the company is accelerating product development to meet this need. Although competition from other tech giants is intensifying, Nvidia remains a market leader. Huang stated that the AI boom has just begun and that the necessary computing capabilities will increase significantly.
Although Nvidia's shares have slightly decreased after the announcement, analysts expect positive revisions of revenue estimates for the coming years.
The company does not expect revenues from the Chinese market, despite approvals for the sale of some chips, due to restrictions imposed by the Chinese government.
