The report expects the annual inflation rate to increase significantly in the third quarter of 2025 as a result of the expiry of the electricity price cap scheme and the increase in VAT and excise tax rates, scheduled for August 1. Inflation will also decline slowly in the following quarters, but will remain on a higher trajectory than in previous projections, according to the analysis of the NBR's Governing Council.
