The Grok chatbot, created by Elon Musk's company xAI, acknowledged the existence of "deficiencies in safety measures" after users reported the generation of sexualized images of minors. Grok announced that it is working "urgently" to address the issue, emphasizing that materials involving sexual abuse of children are illegal and strictly prohibited. The chatbot also warned that a company can be held criminally or civilly liable if it fails to prevent such content. Parsa Tajik, a member of the xAI technical team, confirmed that additional measures are being analyzed to strengthen safety filters. Although Grok is not the only chatbot that has had such issues, it has been involved in previous controversies, including antisemitic comments and references to an alleged "white genocide." Despite these incidents, Grok has continued to secure significant contracts, including with the U.S. Department of Defense.
