Dominic Fritz, the leader of USR, stated that the responsible solution for reducing the budget deficit is to cut state spending, emphasizing that the option to raise taxes has been exhausted. In an interview, Fritz expressed dissatisfaction with the speed and depth of reforms, mentioning that PSD has blocked some initiatives, such as reducing personnel costs in municipalities. He warned that the current borrowing affects future generations and emphasized that USR will not support spending that should be paid by the next generation. Fritz called on the coalition to continue to take responsibility for reducing the budget deficit.
