Construction volume in the first five months of 2025 is up 5.6% from 2024, with significant increases in capital repairs and new construction.

According to NSI data, the volume of construction works increased by 5.6% in the first five months of 2025, with notable growth in capital repair works (+55.6%) and new construction (+3.8%). However, maintenance and current repair works decreased by 11.2%. By type of construction, increases were seen in engineering construction (+10.7%) and residential building (+2.3%), while nonresidential building saw a small decrease. Compared to April 2025, the volume of work increased by 5.9%, but fell in capital repairs. Also in May 2025 compared to 2024, total volume increased 4.2%, with a significant increase in capital repairs (+51.5%).
