Average take-home pay was 5,647 lei in April 2025, down 0.8% from March, but up 8.2% from a year earlier

In April 2025, the average net wage decreased by RON 44 from the previous month to RON 5,647, while gross earnings were RON 9,415. The highest wages were recorded in oil extraction (14,021 lei) and IT (12,599 lei), and the lowest in hotels (3,332 lei) and clothing (3,430 lei). Compared to April 2024, net earnings increased by 8.2%.
