Asian equities recorded gains on Wednesday morning, reflecting the advance on Wall Street, amid falling oil prices and optimism regarding the resumption of negotiations between the United States and Iran to end the conflict. Japan's Nikkei 225 rose by 0.5%, while South Korea's Kospi jumped by 3%. On Wall Street, the S&P 500 added 1.2%, and the Dow Jones increased by 0.7%. The price of U.S. crude oil rose slightly but remains below the peak levels of February. Analysts, however, warn that the optimism may be unfounded, considering that the war continues. Additionally, the IMF has revised its global inflation forecast for 2025 upwards to 4.4%. In the currency market, the U.S. dollar gained ground against the Japanese yen.
