On Monday, the leu appreciated against the euro and other currencies, according to the NBR exchange rate.

The National Bank of Romania has announced that the national currency, the leu, is appreciating against the euro, the dollar and other currencies. One euro is trading at 5.0777 lei, down from 5.0780 lei on Friday. The dollar has reached 4.3329 lei and the pound sterling is quoted at 5.9329 lei. The Swiss franc appreciated slightly to 5.4345 lei. The price of gold fell to 457.9246 lei per gram.
